We’re happy to announce a new hacknight at our San Francisco headquarters: Patchwork.

Learning open source, together
Patchwork is a hands on workshop for learning Git and GitHub. We’d love to have you join us in our community space. There will be snacks for hackin’, lots to learn, and new friends to be made. We’ll have GitHubbers and other open source contributors as mentors to lend a hand as attendees make their way through the workshop.
Forks you don’t eat with? Branches made not of wood? Attendees will leave with a pull request merged and ready to dive into the exciting world of open source.
Let’s do this
Ready to start contributing to open source? Register as an attendee.
Want to help future open source maintainers and contributors? Register as a mentor.
Details:
- When? Wednesday, January 29th from 6:30-9:00pm
- Where? GitHub HQ, 88 Colin P. Kelly Junior St., San Francisco, CA
Once registered, you’ll receive an email nearer the date with details on what to have installed on your computer to hit the ground running.
