Announcing AI-powered commit message generation with GitHub Copilot—now generally available in GitHub Desktop!

With just a click in the commit message box, you can generate clear, helpful commit messages powered by Copilot, helping you ship your changes upstream faster and with greater confidence.

Copilot commit message generation is available to both Copilot Free users and all paid Copilot subscribers. Organizations and enterprises can enable it through the “Copilot in GitHub Desktop” policy.

Working with large repositories is now easier than ever. You can quickly filter the list of changed files to find exactly what you need, helping you more efficiently review and manage your changes.

Multiple domain support:
GitHub Desktop now supports authentication across multiple domains. This means you can seamlessly work with GitHub.com, GitHub Enterprise Server, and other supported domains without having to switch accounts or re-authenticate.
