As part of our ongoing commitment to accelerate human progress through Social Impact initiatives, we’re offering students 30-minute, 1:1 micro-mentoring sessions with GitHub employees ahead of Universe.
Are you going to be in town for FOSDEM? We’d love if you joined us at our next Patchwork hack night. It will be on January 29, 2016 and will be co-hosted with our friends at Silversquare Coworking – Louise in Brussels.
GitHubbers @amateurhuman, @shlomi-noach, @tracicakes, and @mikemcquaid, as well as local community mentors, will be on hand to walk you through the Git-It tutorial, answer your questions, and help you work through Git on the command line.
Patchwork is a self-directed, hands-on workshop for learning Git and GitHub. The atmosphere is casual and informal; it is not an event full of presented tutorials and copious note-taking. You will be able to go at your own pace, with the help of a community mentor nearby in case you run into any trouble. Join us for a night of hacking and snacking and make some new friends while you’re at it!
Mentors: if you’ve ever had a pull request merged, now is your chance to share the love and help someone else create magic.
