Update: The response was so overwhelming that the limited 100 slots filled up in a flash. There’s a second instance on September 28th if you were unable to be approved for the first class. And don’t worry — we’ll keep offering this class on a regular basis.
Are you new to Git and GitHub? Would you like to learn the basics but haven’t taken the time to read the GitHub Help pages yet? Join us for a free one hour course titled “The Basics of Using GitHub” held in a live webinar format with Matthew McCullough, the GitHub Git Trainer. The inaugural session will be held on September 14th at 10:00am MDT (time zone mappings can be found here).
This class assists attendees in setting up Git at the command line, via GitHub for Mac, or within Eclipse via eGit. It offers GitHub newcomers a tour of what this feature-loaded version control tool and an equally powerful web application can do for developers, designers, and managers in both the open source and commercial software worlds.
The class size is limited. Seats, though free, are offered on a first-come first-serve basis. The class will be run every one to four weeks using the GoToWebinar infrastructure depending on seasonal demand.
Register for the class via this simple form for the September 14th instance or via this form for the September 28th instance.
