✅ Overview

We’re streamlining the experience for users who belong to organizations requiring SSO authentication. With this release, multiple SSO banners that previously appeared throughout GitHub are consolidated into a single, unified, and dismissible banner. Previously, users in SSO-required organizations encountered various inconsistent banners, leading to visual clutter and notification fatigue. This release introduces a unified approach, improving the user experience while ensuring important information is always accessible.

🚀 What’s new

  • Unified SSO banner: Instead of seeing multiple SSO banners across different pages, users will now see one clear, dismissible banner whenever SSO is required to view content.
  • Smart dismissal: The banner can be dismissed via the ✖️ button and will only reappear if your SSO state changes (e.g., you log out of an SSO organization or are added to a new one).
  • Enhanced SSO information: SSO details are now visible in the SSO & Organizations tab in your settings, making it easier to check your SSO status at any time.
