New Copilot Chat features now generally available on GitHub

All the Copilot Chat features previously in public preview are now generally available to all users on github.com! This includes instant previews, flexible editing, issue management, improved attachments, model selection, and more. This gives you a more powerful and seamless GitHub Copilot experience.
Newly available features
Rich file interactions
Working with files is now easier than ever. You can view or edit generated files directly in the side panel. You can also preview your HTML, Markdown, and Mermaid diagrams by clicking the “Preview” tab. Not working with files? You can also view your issues right in the side panel, too. Here is the preview announcement and the enhanced previews announcement.
Message threading
Enjoy enhanced flexibility when chatting with Copilot. You can refine messages by editing them, reload responses to get different variations using different models, and keep track of all threads within one place. Here is the changelog for the preview release as well as the changelog for reloading responses with other models.
Enhanced attachments
When pasting large blocks of text, you can convert them into attachments with one click. Here is the changelog for the public preview announcement.
These capabilities have been refined based on your feedback during the preview period and are now generally available for all GitHub users. We’d love to hear your feedback in the GitHub Community.
