GitHub and Major League Hacking (MLH) came together to organize Local Hack Day: Share (LHD: Share). This hackathon is a 12-hour global finish-up-athon where students from all over the world finish the projects they’ve built through the year, curate their portfolios, and prepare their resumes for the future. The event takes place in multiple locations starting on April 3, 2020.

Don’t miss the opportunity to organize an event or attend the closest one to you by visiting the official LHD: Share website.

What is Local Hack Day: Share

LHD: Share is the third event of the hackathon series from Major League Hacking. The goal of the event is to support students in organizing 12-hour local hackathons within their student communities. In every iteration of the event, students from all over the world get together to build a variety of projects. From music recommendations to Self-Healing Micro-services, and even a mailbox notification system, LHD: Share offers a safe space to learn and get hands-on experience with the newest technologies.

All workshops are delivered with the purpose to further develop student’s communication skills. During the event, attendees have the opportunity to share accomplishments and demo the projects they’ve built.

The event also provides students with the opportunity to get started with the right tools. By attending, you get access to the GitHub Student Developer Pack which offers over $200k in online courses, tools, and many other benefits for free!
